About burn out

There are so many things I wanna do in a day. But by trying to do them all, I inevitably burn out.

I feel stressed, overwhelmed and like a failure even though I know it’s not true.

I thought to myself “what could I do to make things better?”

Less is more

I reminded myself that doing fewer things and with intention, meaning by giving all your attention or presence, worths much more than running against the clock to fit all the tasks in a single day.

Although I still can hear that voice urging me to do more, overall I’m feeling more at peace.

And if I ever stress out again, I remind myself what’s my most important task for the day.

Ellie and Amy

If the day feels like chaos with so many things to do like cooking or cleaning, I remind myself that as long as I’m there for my kids when they need me then I’m ok.

I don’t care if lunch is not ready on time or if the dishes are not cleaned, if my children need me, I’ll be there for them.

They are the reason why I chose this life as a stay-at-home mom (even before meeting Davidson).

No more pretending, I’m no superwoman

I can’t do all the chores in a day and I can’t practice yoga or write here on this blog every day either.

And that’s ok.

I give myself permission to sometimes just do nothing but watching Amy sucking her fist or Ellie dancing like a ballerina.
